-
KDGi Solutions, an architectural firm, needed a highly accurate model of Downtown Murfreesboro’s town square to present to investors, city officials, and developers. This physical model would serve as a critical visual tool during multi-million dollar project discussions, requiring architectural precision and modular flexibility.
-
Excalis designed and fabricated a modular, 1:64 scale architectural model representing over 100 unique buildings. Printed using matte ivory PLA+ for the structures and metallic silver PLA for the base, the model was divided into 12 friction-fit puzzle pieces to allow for easy transport and reassembly. Each building is removable and smoothed using deburring tools and flame finishing to ensure clean lines and minimal artifacts.
Geometry was created using architectural site drawings, GIS tools, and geomaps to ensure accuracy. This was not just a display piece—it became an interactive, modular tool for presenting high-stakes development plans to stakeholders.
